(VOVWORLD) - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said Vietnam aims to become a free trade country and Da Nang city should lead this initiative.

PM Chinh was speaking at a meeting on Saturday on urban government development and the piloting of special mechanisms and policies for Da Nang.
To this end, ministries, sectors, and Da Nang authorities need to adopt innovative thinking and a strategic vision, and mobilize all legal resources, including state, private, social, and public-private partnership investments, said Mr. Chinh.
Da Nang should achieve double-digit growth in the coming years; effectively utilize special policies and mechanisms; improve the business climate limits; and develop synchronous, modern, green, and smart infrastructure, according to the PM.
The city should also establish an innovation center, and develop a free trade hub and an international financial center. It is necessary boost coastal reclamation projects to create new land and marine spaces, PM Chinh said.
