The expanded Dak Lak province has 176 ranked relics and 286 sites on the inventory list, a rich system of intangible heritage including the Space of Gong Culture in the Central Highlands, Bai Choi singing, and 11 items inscribed in the national heritage list.

According to Mr. Tran Hong Tien, Director of the Dak Lak Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, it is necessary to step up digital transformation in management, link conservation with sustainable tourism development, attract business resources, and promote the role of the community.

“We will propose specific action programs and implementation plans so that, in the 2025–2030 term and beyond, heritage conservation and the promotion of cultural values are closely linked with tourism development, thereby improving the living standards of local people and communities. In this way, we will continue to safeguard and enhance these heritage values,” Tien said.

The participants proposed that the province soon issue a unified regulation on relic management, speed up planning and restoration of key sites, complete the nomination dossier for Phu Yen Geopark to submit to UNESCO, and prepare a dossier for “Knowledge of cultivating and processing Dak Lak coffee” to be inscribed as heritage.
