(VOVworld) – 200 photos, documents, and artifacts highlighting Vietnam-India comprehensive cooperation are on display at the exhibition “Vietnam-India friendship: solidarity, cooperation, and development”. The event, which opened today/on Friday at the Ho Chi Minh Museum in Hanoi, was jointly organized by Vietnam’s Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism and the Indian Embassy in Vietnam to celebrate Vietnam-India Friendship Year 2012. The exhibition features a documentary film on President Ho Chi Minh’s visit to India in 1958.

Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports, and Tourism Ho Anh Tuan spoke at the opening ceremony ‘The event honors President Ho Chi Minh and Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru, who laid the foundation for our two people’s friendship. It also shows visitors Vietnam-India diplomatic landmarks on cooperation in economics, trade, science, technology, and education and cultural exchange. The event is of great significance which not only provides better understanding of Indian history, culture, land, and people but also contributes to making the Vietnam-India traditional friendship and multifaceted cooperation flourish’.   

The exhibition will run until August 16.
