Techcombank Hanoi Marathon attracts athletes from 42 countries
(VOVWORLD) - The 3rd Techcombank Hanoi International Marathon attracted professional and amateur athletes from 42 countries on Sunday.

The competition was held as part of activities to mark the 70th anniversary of the Liberation Day of Hanoi, October 10.
All routes of the four distances of marathon, half marathon, 10km and 5km are certified by the International Marathon Association and the Vietnam Athletics Federation.
More than 4,000 athletes participating in the marathon and half-marathon distances, accounting for nearly 50% of the total number of participants.
On this occasion, last weekend, the Marathon Village 2024 welcomed more than 20,000 athletes and visitors to explore nearly 20 exhibition booths.

In the final results, 94 prizes were awarded to outstanding athletes. Track and field athlete Nguyen Thi Oanh broke the national record in the women's marathon (42.195 km) for 2 hours 44 minutes 20 seconds. In the men's marathon, Edwin Kiptoo of Kenya finished first in 2 hours 30 minutes 31 seconds.
