Minister Trung held talks with Thai Foreign Minister Sihasak Phuangketkeow and both sides affirmed the importance of the traditional friendship and the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. They agreed to strengthen political trust through maintaining exchanges of delegations at all levels, enhance contact between ministries, sectors, and localities, and to promptly develop an Action Program to implement the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership for the period 2026–2030 with substantive and specific content.

The two foreign ministers assessed that economic, trade, and investment cooperation continues to be a pillar of bilateral relations and stressed the need to soon achieve the target of 25 billion USD in bilateral trade. Both sides said they would not allow any organization or individual to use their territory to undermine the other and agreed to continue coordinating efforts to combat transnational crime, drug trafficking, and high-tech crime.

The two ministers emphasized the importance of regional peace, stability, and security, highlighted the ASEAN's centrality, and stressed the need to strengthen solidarity, unity, and coordinated shared positions.

In light of the border tensions between Thailand and Cambodia, Minister Trung expressed concern and called on both sides to exercise restraint and resolve disagreements through peaceful means and dialogue in accordance with international law and regional mechanisms. Vietnam is ready to cooperate with ASEAN, including Thailand, to make positive contributions to long-term peace and stability in the region, he said.

Foreign Minister Le Hoai Trung visited the Vietnamese Embassy in Thailand, meeting with embassy staff and other affiliated agencies. He requested that the Embassy continue to play its role as a bridge, support the Vietnamese community, contribute to strengthening bilateral relations, and make positive contributions to the host country.
