HCM City and Da Nang make remarkable strides in Global Startup Rankings
(VOVWORLD) - Ho Chi Minh City continues to shine as Vietnam’s most promising startup hub. It has climbed one place to 110th in the global startup ecosystem – its highest position ever, and has become, for the first time, one of the Top 5 innovative startup ecosystems in Southeast Asia.

According to a report released by StartupBlink, a globally-recognised tool for evaluating startup ecosystems, HCM City has advanced in the rankings for four consecutive years, and its fintech sector has seen particularly rapid growth. The city is now ranked in the Top 30 globally for blockchain and second in Southeast Asia. StartupBlink called HCM City the most dynamic startup hub in Vietnam.
According to the same report, Da Nang has climbed 130 places to the 766th position globally. The central city is among 12 standout ecosystems selected to be featured at StartupBlink’s 2025 online workshop and is considered one of the world’s hottest startup ecosystems of 2025.
StartupBlink measures startup ecosystems on the number of startups, the quality and scale of support resources, global connectivity, local policies, and innovation capacity.
