PM Pham Minh Chinh chairs a meeting of a national steering committee for the implementation of Resolution 68, Hanoi, December 20, 2025. |
On average, around 18,000 new businesses are established each month, bringing the total number of active enterprises nationwide to nearly 1.1 million by the end of 2025, he noted.
The private sector accounted for 74.6% of the total investment -195 billion USD - for 564 major projects and works launched or inaugurated this year. This underscores the growing role of private enterprises and affirms the sound policy of public investment leading and crowding in private capital to mobilize all social resources for development.
The Prime Minister said the results demonstrate that resolutions issued by the Politburo, the National Assembly, and the Government have created strong momentum for private-sector growth, strengthened business confidence in the Party and the State, diversified business activities, and encouraged enterprises to undertake larger-scale projects.
He stressed the need to further improve conditions for breakthrough development of private enterprises in both scale and quality, while supporting businesses, particularly small, micro-sized enterprises and household businesses, to enhance efficiency.
Large enterprises should take on large-scale tasks, while smaller firms focus on appropriate projects, with mutual support to ensure shared and sustainable development, said PM Chinh.
