Ho Chi Minh City, central highlands provinces ramp up cooperation

(VOVWORLD) -Ho Chi Minh City and the five central highlands provinces ramped up cooperation in the past year, along with organizing events to connect trade and promote potential, strengths and unique agricultural products of localities, said a review meeting on Friday in Da Lat City.

In particular, the investment promotion conference organized by Ho Chi Minh City in April 2024  helped Kon Tum, Gia Lai, Dak Lak, Dak Nong and Lam Dong call for investment in 558 projects, with a total capital of nearly 12.5 billion USD.

Vo Van Hoan, Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, told the meeting, “I hope that all businesses, together with Ho Chi Minh City and local leaders, will actively participate in the linkage and coordination activities between Ho Chi Minh City and the central highlands provinces. This is the best way for us to expand production and business activities, and create conditions for localities to perform their tasks well.”

The meeting discussed investment in distribution systems, developing sustainable and safe raw material areas and potential cooperation in the agricultural sector, building a chain of agricultural, forestry and fishery products, and high-tech agriculture combined with eco-tourism.
