Ho Chi Minh City ranks among top 15 emerging global financial centers
(VOVWORLD) - Ho Chi Minh City has made notable progress in global rankings, emerging as one of the world’s top 15 most promising financial centers amid intensifying competition worldwide.

According to the Global Financial Centres Index 2026 (GFCI 39) released on Thursday, Ho Chi Minh City ranked 84th out of 120 global financial centers, up 11 places compared to last year, despite only a modest one-point increase in its overall score. This marks one of the strongest improvements among mid-tier financial centers.
In Southeast Asia, Ho Chi Minh City now ranks third, behind Singapore and Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) reflecting its increasingly prominent role in the regional financial network.
In the FinTech category, the city also recorded significant progress, climbing seven places to rank 83rd in the latest assessment.
