(VOVworld)- Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad left Hanoi on Saturday, concluding his official visit
to Vietnam. During the visit, the Iranian President held talks with State President Truong Tan Sang, and met with Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung and National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung. During the meetings, the Vietnamese leaders reiterated Vietnam’s consistent foreign policy of diversification and multi-lateralization and that Vietnam is paying special attention to promoting cooperation with traditional friends including Iran. The two sides affirmed their determination to strengthen the Vietnamese-Iranian relationship and cooperation in trade, agriculture, seafood, culture, sports and tourism.
