ISIS claims responsibility for Iraq attacks
(VOVWORLD) - The Islamic State has claimed responsibility for Thursday’s suicide attacks that killed at least 52 and injured 91 in Nasriyah city, southern Iraq.

ISIS gunmen on Thursday attacked a restaurant in Nasriyah, before fleeing in a vehicle and exploding it at a nearby security checkpoint. The attackers were reported to have disguised themselves as members of Hashed al-Shaabi, a paramilitary group that once cooperated with anti-ISIS forces in northern Iraq.
