Those are among more than 1,500 Hezbollah targets hit in 200 different areas of Lebanon, the military says. Most of the strikes targeted homes where Hezbollah was storing munitions, according to the IDF. 250 fighter jets participated in the strikes, dropping some 2,000 munitions. Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant said the two-day air campaign has significantly reduced Hezbollah's strength.
The death toll from the Israeli strikes on Lebanon since Monday has reached 558, including 50 children and 94 women, with 1,835 wounded, Health Minister Firass Abiad said on Tuesday. This is the heaviest daily death toll in Lebanon in more than 30 years. In the Gaza Strip, Israeli military attacks on Tuesday killed at least 22 Palestinians, including 6 killed in an airstrike on the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza.
