Israel warns of unprecedented forces deployment in Gaza

(VOVWORLD) - The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has warned that it would continue deploying an unprecedented scale of forces against Hamas. Israeli army spokesman Colonel Avichay Adraee posted the warning on social platform X on Friday, calling on the local residents to evacuate southward via the coastal Al-Rashid road.

The same day, the Israeli military launched heavy attacks on Lebanon, targeting members of the Hezbollah. Lebanon’s Ministry of Health reported at least two deaths and 11 injuries in Israeli airstrikes.

The IDF said that Israeli naval forces attacked a Hezbollah vessel in southern Lebanese waters on Friday morning, accusing it of conducting surveillance against Israeli forces.

The US Central Command (CENTCOM) said on Friday that it had eliminated a senior leader of the self-proclaimed Islamic State in a raid in Syria. Omar Abdul Qader (alias Abdul Rahman Al-Halabi) was in charge of IS’s external operations. He was accused of involvement in the bombing of the Iranian Embassy in Lebanon and planning other attacks in the US and Europe.
