On October 11 Japan will restore visa waivers to people from certain countries as long as they are vaccinated, scrap the daily limit of 50,000 arrivals, and may also revise regulations that allow hotels to refuse guests who don’t abide by infection controls such as mask wearing.
Japan has geared up tourism promotion activities and fee reductions for tourism services and entertainment events to boost its service sector, which was hard hit by the COVID-19 pandemic.
