The event reviewed the implementation of Politburo Resolution 9 on Khanh Hoa’s development through 2030 with a vision to 2045, and discussed pathways to elevate the province to centrally-run status by 2030.

Following the restructuring of administrative units, Khanh Hoa’s development space has expanded, creating a new economic engine with a diversified sectoral structure and strong connectivity.

The province boasts strategic assets, including renewable energy potential, seaport infrastructure, industrial zones, and the future site of the Ninh Thuan nuclear power plant - a pillar in Vietnam’s long-term energy strategy, Chairman Nam noted.

“To realize our aspiration for rapid and sustainable development, Khanh Hoa must complete strategic infrastructure, enhance human resource quality, and resolve long-delayed projects. We are making concerted efforts to implement key tasks set out in Politburo Resolution 9 and Provincial Party Committee Resolution 1, targeting double-digit growth and centrally-run city status by 2030,” said Mr. Nam.

Participants offered in-depth analyses of Khanh Hoa’s advantages, including its central coastal location, developed transport infrastructure, and strong potential in logistics, the maritime economy, and tourism-based industries.

Many stressed that building a digital government, applying AI, upgrading data systems, and investing in high-quality workforce training will be crucial for breakthrough development.
