Leather, footwear exports hit 26 billion USD in 2024
(VOVWORLD) - Export revenue of Vietnamese leather and footwear hit 26 billion USD this year, up 10%, according to the Vietnam Leather, Footwear and Handbag Association.

All export markets saw growth in 2024, with major markets like the US and the EU growing more than 10%.
China continues to rank among the industry's billion-dollar export markets, coming just behind the US and the EU and accounting for 9% of the exports. This year, the leather and footwear industry has expanded to markets in South America and the Middle East. The Middle Eastern market, in particular, has a strong consumer demand.
Looking ahead to 2025, the sector will continue focusing on existing markets to build the customer base and boost revenue, and will gradually increase green production to meet the higher standards of markets like Japan, Europe, and the US.
