Mass traditional long dress folk dance performance marks International Women’s Day in HCMC
(VOVWORLD) - More than 58,000 women’s union members and residents participated in a mass folk dance performance wearing traditional long dress of Ao Dai at 36 locations across Ho Chi Minh City on Sunday, as part of activities celebrating International Women's Day.

At the main venue on Nguyen Hue Pedestrian Street, around 3,000 participants joined the dance performance. The event created a vibrant festive atmosphere while honoring the elegance and grace of Vietnamese women in the traditional ao dai.
Following the performance, groups of women dressed in ao dai paraded around Nguyen Hue Pedestrian Street, creating a colorful and striking scene in the heart of the city.
On this occasion, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh presented certificates of merit to the Communications Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Union and ten individuals in recognition of their achievements and contributions to building socialism and safeguarding the nation during the 2019–2023 period.
