NA Chairman pays pre-Tet visit to Yen Bai province
(VOVWORLD) -National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man on Saturday visited and wished a Happy New Year to the Party Committee, government, armed forces, and people of all ethnic groups in Yen Bai province.

According to the province's report, 113 of the total 146 communes in Yen Bai, or 77%, have met the new rural standards, 1.5 times higher than the average of the northern midlands and mountains region.
The average multidimensional poverty rate has decreased by 3.5% per year, now at 8.67%, ranking 6th out of 14 provinces in the region. Yen Bai has also proactively worked out a plan to reorganize and streamline the apparatus in accordance with the central government’s direction.
Applauding Yen Bai’s achievements in the past year, the National Assembly Chairman said that at its latest session, the National Assembly passed major laws and resolutions towards strengthening decentralization and delegation of power. He requested Yen Bai to proactively and promptly issue documents within its authority to implement the newly-adopted laws and resolutions.
