The draft Cybersecurity Law was built on the 2015 Law on Network Information Security and the 2018 Cybersecurity Law.

This integration provides very specific regulations on prohibited behaviors online and introduces deterrent measures. I hope it will yield positive results,” said Deputy Ro Cham H’Phik from Gia Lai Province.

Deputy Ta Dinh Thi from Hanoi, said, Fraudsters often exploit personal data leaked online to commit crimes. Therefore, the new Cybersecurity Law, with its focus on protecting personal data, is entirely appropriate and necessary in the current context.”

The draft Cybersecurity Law is expected to be approved by the National Assembly at the ongoing session.
