In his closing speech, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man said the session agenda which is personnel affairs was done strictly in accordance with Party regulations and State laws and achieved strong consensus among deputies.

The Assembly dismissed Nguyen Hoa Binh from the position of Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court and approved the Prime Minister's proposal to appoint him as Deputy Prime Minister for the 2021-2026 term. Le Minh Tri was removed from the position of Prosecutor General of the Supreme People's Procuracy and elected Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court at the request of the President.

The National Assembly approved the Prime Minister's proposal to dismiss Tran Luu Quang from the position of Deputy Prime Minister because he was appointed by the Politburo to hold the position of Head of the Party Central Committee’s Economic Commission. Nguyen Huy Tien was elected Prosecutor General of the Supreme People's Procuracy at the request of the President.

The National Assembly passed a resolution on adding three deputy prime ministers so that the Government will have five deputy prime ministers. Deputies approved the Prime Minister's nomination of Ho Duc Phoc as Deputy Prime Minister for the 2021-2026 term, who continues to serve as Minister of Finance until this position is filled.

The Assembly approved the Prime Minister's nomination of Bui Thanh Son as Deputy Prime Minister, who continues to serve as Minister of Foreign Affairs. The Assembly approved the Prime Minister's nominations of Do Duc Duy as Minister of Natural Resources and Environment and Nguyen Hai Ninh as Minister of Justice for the 2021-2026 term.

Deputies approved the Prime Minister's proposal to dismiss Le Minh Khai from the position of Deputy Prime Minister and Dang Quoc Khanh from the post of Minister of Natural Resources and Environment.

The National Assembly removed Le Thanh Van from the deputy of the 15th National Assembly position.

National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man said: “We believe, under the Party's leadership; with the involvement of the entire political system, all levels and sectors; the solidarity and efforts of the entire Party, people, army, business community, and Vietnamese compatriots abroad, our country will definitely overcome challenges and achieve socio-economic development goals at the highest level, ensure national defense and security, foreign affairs and anti-corruption in 2024."

"All these will contribute to the successful implementation of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, preparing for Party Congresses at all levels, and moving towards the 14th National Party Congress,”  Man added.
