(VOVworld) – The revised law on construction has refreshed management mechanism to tightly control projects using state capital. Participants at Monday’s conference in Ho Chi Minh City agreed that the law has created favorable conditions for individuals from various economic sectors to participate in construction investment, to tighten regulations in construction programming to ensure transparency for approved construction planning and decentralizing investment responsibility among ministries, agencies, and provinces.

New points of revised Construction Law

The conference recommended penalties severe enough to ensure that construction follows all regulations and more policies to encourage investment in social housing projects. Construction Minister Trinh Dinh Dung said:“Social housing has been added to and is a separate chapter in the law on housing. This is a new and meaningful policy to help middle-income and low-income people who cannot afford houses at the market price to own one. Projects to build social houses are financially supported by the state. The housing law, with a chapter on social houses will be submitted to the 7^th session of the National Assembly for discussion”.
