Entitled “Beauty of the Nation, Enjoying a Peaceful Spring”, the festival is expected to attract a significant number of local residents and tourists eager to discover new literary works.
With 22 exhibitors participating, the festival will host over 160 exchange programs, interactive sessions, recreational activities, and hands-on experiences—an increase of more than 60% compared to 2024. A highlight will be exchanges with reading culture ambassadors and award-winning authors from the 2024 National Book Awards.
Additionally, there will be a dedicated space for New Year poems and articles by President Ho Chi Minh, along with documents, images, and works by the late Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.
Photos and publications are commemorating the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3), the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19) and National Day of Vietnam (September 2), as well as the 50th anniversary of Southern Liberation and National Reunification Day (April 30).
Mai Hai Yen, a visitor from Ho Chi Minh City, said: "Every Tet holiday, I visit the book street in Ho Chi Minh City to find great books. This year, I’m truly impressed with the festival’s growth, especially the activities that celebrate the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and the reunification of the country. The exhibition space is remarkable, featuring many new titles, and the activities are very engaging for young people."
The organizers will distribute around 20,000 "lucky books" to locals and visitors as a wish of good fortune and well-being for the new year.
