No food shortage in any circumstances during Covid-19 pandemic, says Hanoi trade agency

(VOVWORLD) - Hanoi has stockpiled enough commodities to meet local people’s demand for up to 3 months and will not allow, in any circumstances, food shortages in the city.

The commitment was delivered by Hanoi's trade agency during Saturday’s meeting between the Ministry of Industry and Trade and municipal authorities in response to the Covid-19 epidemic.

The capital city has developed various scenarios to assist people, particularly those in quarantine, according to the Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade.

“We must ensure sufficient supply of essential goods and prevent any price hikes. To this end, the current supply chain between Hanoi and other localities must be strengthened,” said Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Do Thang Hai.
