(VOVWORLD) - South Korea's military says North Korea fired multiple cruise missiles toward the sea from the east coast of the Korean Peninsula on Thursday.

According to South Korea's Ministry of Defense, the intelligence agencies of South Korea and the US are analyzing the details of the launch.
Seoul’s Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) said that the projectiles were fired from the eastern coastal region of Sondok in South Hamgyong province around 9 a.m. KST.
This is the second missile launch that North Korea has launched in May. On May 8, the South Korean military discovered various types of short-range ballistic missiles launched from the coastal city of Wonsan in eastern North Korea.
