Northwest region reports voter turnout of nearly 100%
(VOVWORLD) - Provinces in the northwestern region, including Lai Chau, Son La, Dien Bien, Lao Cai, and Tuyen Quang, completed elections of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and the People's Councils on Sunday with voter turnout rates of nearly 100%.

Voters in the region expressed confidence in the newly elected representatives.
Voter Ly Mi Na of the Ha Nhi ethnic group in Dien Bien province, said, “We have chosen outstanding representatives. We sincerely hope they will help local people develop and prosper.”
“I am very excited to take part in the election. I hope the elected representatives will do their best to meet the aspirations of the people,” said voter Trieu Van Thuong of Lao Cai province.
