Outstanding ethnic minority students, youths honored

(VOVWORLD) - 125 exceptional ethnic minority students and youths were honored at a ceremony organized in Hanoi on Saturday by the Committee for Ethnic Minority Affairs in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Training and the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.

This annual event celebrates young ethnic minority people who excel in academics and community service, aiming to inspire others to overcome challenges and achieve success.

Since its inception in 2013, more than 1,300 youths from different ethnic groups and regions have been recognized.

Minister and Chairman of the Committee for Ethnic Minority Affairs, Hau A Lenh, said that over 60% of students in ethnic boarding and semi-boarding schools achieved high academic results during the 2023-2024 academic year. More than 97% graduated from secondary school, with many gaining university and college admission without entrance exams.
