Over 80% of voters cast their ballots as of 2 pm Sunday
(VOVWORLD) -According to an update from the National Election Council, as of 2:15 pm on Sunday, nearly 62 million voters nationwide cast their ballots, reaching a turnout rate of over 80.6%.

Many localities have very high voter turnout rates, especially the nine northern mountainous provinces such as Lao Cai, Dien Bien, Lai Chau, and Tuyen Quang. Ha Tinh, Da Nang, Lang Son, Nghe An, and Thai Nguyen have already achieved over 90% voter turnout.
By early Sunday afternoon, 380 communes, wards, and polling stations had completed voting with 100% voter turnout, particularly in areas home to armed forces personnel and some mountain regions.
Reports from 34 provinces and cities nationwide indicate that the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term was carried out seriously, in accordance with the law, and proceeded quickly, orderly, and safely.
