Party chief surveys two-tier local government model in Ho Chi Minh City
(VOVWORLD) -Party General Secretary To Lam said he hopes that the grassroots cadres will continue to improve their sense of responsibility to prepare for the effective and smooth operation of the new apparatus nationwide from July 1.

General Secretary Lam surveyed the two-tier local government model in Xuan Hoa ward and Tan Vinh Loc commune on Sunday as part of his working program in Ho Chi Minh City.
At the local public administration center, the Party leader talked to cadres and civil servants there. He said “The biggest goal of the new apparatus is for the rapid and sustainable development of the country and the city and to better care for the people's lives. We must build a streamlined, effective and efficient government apparatus, shifting from passive management to smart governance serving the people and working for the people to enable development and effective implementation of the Party's policies for national development."

General Secretary Lam asked local authorities to create breakthroughs in administrative reform and digital transformation, promote data connectivity, and ensure that people can access public services quickly, transparently and conveniently.
