The Party leader chaired a get-together with leaders and former leaders of the Party, State and the Vietnam Fatherland Front in Hanoi on Monday, ahead of the 95th anniversary of the Party's founding (February 3) and the Lunar New Year 2025.
In the get-together, General Secretary Lam reviewed major achievements in most areas of the country in the past year, emphasizing the great contributions of former leaders, revolutionary veterans, intellectuals and dignitaries at home and abroad.
He pointed out future tasks, “Efforts should be made to boost the application of information technology and digital transformation in Party activities. The Party inspects and supervises so that work is performed better, resolutions are implemented effectively. The Party and State apparatus operates effectively, efficiently, and in line with guidelines and policies, with the right people and the right jobs. New factors and good, creative ways of doing things must be promptly discovered.”
Referring to the central task of socio-economic development, the General Secretary said that the entire political system must focus on effective and substantial economic restructuring, coupled with growth model reform, building on the foundation of science, technology, digital transformation and especially taking people as the center, developing high-quality human resources.
On this occasion, General Secretary To Lam awarded the Gold Star Order and the Ho Chi Minh Order to former leaders of the Party, State and National Assembly.
