(VOVworld) - Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong has received Japanese Ambassador Hiroshi Fukada as he begins his term of office in Vietnam.

Trong said Vietnam wants to promote comprehensive cooperation with Japan and continue to receive assistance from Japan in its growth model transition.
He hoped that the new Ambassador will deepen bilateral ties for mutual interests and benefits. Ambassador Fukada pledged to promote bilateral friendship and cooperation for a stronger strategic partnership for peace and prosperity.
