(VOVWORLD) - Party General Secretary To Lam, his spouse Ngo Phuong Ly, and a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation left Hanoi on Sunday for a State visit to the Republic of Korea from August 10-13 at the invitation of President of the Republic of Korea Lee Jae Myung and his spouse.

This is General Secretary To Lam’s first state visit to the Republic of Korea in his new position. The visit creates an opportunity for the two countries to discuss ways to boost substantive, comprehensive, and effective bilateral relations and orientations for further cooperation in potential areas.
The visit is a significant diplomatic activity to advance the Politburo’s Resolution No. 59 on international integration in the new context.
