Party leader attends conference on 2025 performance, 2026 tasks for central, local administrations

(VOVWORLD) -Vietnam achieved major results in implementing socio-economic development tasks for 2025 and the 2021-2025 period amid a rapidly changing and complex global situation plus a number of domestic challenges, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said on Thursday.

PM delivered opening remarks at the hybrid conference reviewing 2025 performance and setting out tasks in 2026 for central and local administrations.

The event, which connected online the central level with 34 provinces and centrally-administered cities, was attended by Party General Secretary To Lam, President Luong Cuong, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, Permanent Member of the Party Central Committee’s  Secretariat Tran Cam Tu, and leaders of ministries, sectors, and localities.

Prime Minister Chinh emphasized that with the involvement of the entire political system, people, and business community, plus the support of international friends, the Government and the Prime Minister have decisively directed tasks and solutions.

Vietnam’s 2025 economic growth reached 8.02%, placing it among the highest in the region and the world and creating a solid foundation for a new phase of national development, he said.
