Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong

(VOVworld) - Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong has received the outgoing Japanese Ambassador in Hanoi. Speaking during the reception on Wednesday, Trong told Ambassador Tanizaki Yasuaki that Vietnam and Japan have lifted bilateral relations to strategic partnership. He praised developments in bilateral ties in all areas, including trade, investment, culture and defense as both are celebrating 40^th anniversary of diplomatic relations. Ambassador Yasuaki said the Japanese government and political parties treasure the relations with Vietnam and pledged to further supporting mutual cooperation.
