People encouraged to get involved in policymaking
(VOVWORLD) - Asia-Pacific countries need to encourage people from all social strata to participate in the policy making process to ensure inclusiveness and equality, said Vietnamese Ambassador to Thailand Nguyen Hai Bang at a session of the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) in Bangkok.

This week’s session is themed “Empowering people and ensuring inclusiveness and equality”.
Ambassador Bang suggested improving the quality and expanding the system of education, training courses, and job opportunities; ensuring that all people have access to education at an affordable price; and expanding social security, insurance and healthcare services.
He reiterated Vietnam’s active implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, especially via the incorporation of sustainable development goals into national action plans and programs.
