At a dialogue with Japanese businesses in Hanoi on Tuesday, the Prime Minister urged greater Japanese investment, and stronger collaboration in human resource training, technology transfer, and financing, especially in green finance.
He welcomed Japan’s practical proposals and called on Japan to continue partnering with us to address financing issues for FDI projects, loans and next-generation ODA initiatives.
“I also urge Japan to invest indirectly in international financial centers in Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang; focus on developing the green and digital economy; transfer technology to Vietnam; and help train high-quality human resources, especially in artificial intelligence (AI) and semiconductors, contributing to the development of smart governance,” said the PM.
At the dialogue, Japanese executives asked Vietnamese authorities to address existing challenges in their ongoing projects in Vietnam, and proposed expanding comprehensive cooperation in key potential areas such as industrialization, high-quality human resource training, innovation, and digital transformation to enhance the competitiveness of Vietnamese enterprises.
They also emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation in supply chains and trade development, as well as maintaining Vietnam’s role as an important link in the global value chain.
