Australia increases ODA for Vietnam

(VOVWORLD) - Australia is set to allocate 96.6 million AUD in development assistance for Vietnam, marking an increase of nearly 1 million AUD compared to the previous period.

Australia on Wednesday announced its budget plan for the 2025–2026 fiscal year, in which it will allocate 5.1 billion AUD for development aid.

Under the plan, Australia's aid projects in Vietnam will focus on fostering an inclusive and resilient economy, enhancing human resources for socio-economic development goals, strengthening climate adaptation and emission reduction efforts, promoting comprehensive socio-economic growth, and supporting Vietnam’s 2021–2030 socio-economic development strategy.
