PM concludes trip to attend expanded BRICS Summit in Russia

(VOVWORLD) -Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation on Thursday left Kazan, Russia, successfully ending the trip to attend the 2024 expanded BRICS Summit titled "BRICS and the Global South: Building a better world together".

The summit was attended by more than 40 leaders, representatives of BRICS member countries and guests, including representatives of developing countries in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Africa and Latin America.

This was an important activity to effectively deploy Vietnam's consistent foreign policy of being independent, self-reliant, multilateral, diversifying foreign relations, being a friend, a reliable partner, and a responsible member of the international community as well as the policy of raising the level of multilateral diplomacy.

The Prime Minister's trip was fruitful, demonstrating Vietnam's responsibility for global efforts. Proactively participating and contributing positively to ASEAN, the UN, APEC, G7, G20, and other multilateral mechanisms, Vietnam, through the summit, clearly showed its positive spirit, proactiveness and responsibility towards the international community.
