During the talks themed "Application of Science and Technology, Innovation and Digital Transformation in Farmers," Prime Minister Chinh and leaders of ministries and sectors answered farmers’ questions. Topics included mechanisms and policies for researching and transferring sci-tech applications to farmers; training of on online sales skills for farmers and cooperatives; investing in and upgrading internet infrastructure in remote areas; and capital and tax incentives for farmers.

Prime Minister Chinh also emphasized the determination to get the EC's "yellow card" warning on Vietnam's fisheries lifted this year, end illegal, unreported, and unregulated (IUU) fishing and develop the fisheries sector sustainably.

“We must cooperate in fishing and conduct business honestly. This is the honor of the country, the prestige of the nation, and the livelihood of the people. It must be stable and secure. We must do things legally and change our mindset significantly,” he said. 

The Prime Minister's Dialogue with Farmers is an annual event organized by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Association.
