PM orders safety measures in industrial parks during COVID-19 resurgence

(VOVWORLD) - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has ordered localities, ministries, and agencies to quickly contain COVID-19 in industrial parks to prevent any disruption of the supply chain.

Mr. Chinh asked ministries, sectors and localities to stay vigilant and strictly follow all directives of the Secretariat, the Government, the Prime Minister, and the Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control.

Chairmen of municipal and provincial People’s Committees, the Minister of Industry and Trade, and the Minister of Planning and Investment are responsible for guiding industrial parks and plants in carrying out preventive measures, assessing safety levels, updating their situation on the COVID-19 map, he said.

Any plant that fails to ensure safety will be ordered to halt its operation. Health declarations are compulsory for everyone, according to the PM.

The Health Minister was asked to issue documents guiding quarantine and testing of workers at industrial parks as the outbreak develops.
