He made the request while chairing a Government meeting on Wednesday to discuss scenarios and solutions in response to recent global turbulence that could negatively affect Vietnam, particularly conflicts in the Middle East and other regions.
The PM noted that these developments could impact Vietnam’s macroeconomic stability, especially inflation and growth, as well as energy security, logistics, supply chains, the safety of Vietnamese citizens abroad, national defense and security, social order, and foreign affairs.
To respond promptly and effectively while meeting key targets, including economic growth of 10%, macroeconomic stability, inflation control and balanced major economic indicators, he stressed several guiding principles: remaining calm, staying consistent with major policies, avoiding both panic and complacency, closely monitoring developments, and responding flexibly and effectively.
PM Chinh also instructed relevant agencies to prepare evacuation plans for Vietnamese citizens in high-risk areas.
