(VOVWORLD) - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has asked Thanh Hoa province to promote self-reliance, unity, and internal strength, while preserving and enhancing its rich cultural identity and proud historical traditions to further enhance its growth.

Speaking at a meeting with the province’s key leaders on Sunday, the PM said Thanh Hoa possesses significant resources, distinctive potential, outstanding opportunities, and clear competitive advantages, especially its people, who serve as both the center and the driving force for development.
He urged the province to make the most of its geostrategic position and tap into its natural strengths in forests, seas, rivers, and mountains.
The Prime Minister commended Thanh Hoa for its recent socio-economic achievements across multiple sectors, stressing that the province’s implementation of the two-tier local government model has generally met the tasks assigned by the central government.
He emphasized the need for innovative, long-term, and strategic thinking. He also requested the province to improve development outcomes in La, Son, Sam Son, Nghi Son, and Bim Son. Lam Son, he said, has particularly strong potential and should be developed into an airport-linked urban area.
He added that the province must complete key infrastructure connections in transportation, telecommunications, and education, while supporting business development and ensuring favorable conditions for enterprises.
