Politburo Resolution sets vision for culture to lead Vietnam’s development in new era
(VOVWORLD) - Culture must lead the way, permeate every development policy, uphold humanistic values, and reinforce social moral standards to meet national development requirements in the new era, according to Politburo Resolution 80 on the development of Vietnamese culture signed by Party General Secretary To Lam recently.

Goals to 2030 include accelerating the development of an advanced Vietnamese culture characterized by national identity, unity in diversity, democracy, humanism, science, and modernity. Literature and the arts will be developed in line with the nation’s cultural history and stature in the new era.
The resolution calls for strong growth in cultural industries, the formation of a startup ecosystem for cultural industries and creative arts, proactive international cultural integration, and the positioning of Vietnam as an attractive destination for major regional and global cultural and artistic events.
The vision to 2045 is to develop a socialist-oriented Vietnamese culture with people as the center, the subject, the objective, and the driving force of development.
Cultural values will serve as foundational norms permeating all aspects of social life, affirming Vietnam as a dynamic hub of cultural and creative industries.
