He urged the province to implement the Party and State's policies on Tet celebrations, particularly Directive 40 issued on December 11, 2024, by the Party Secretariat on ensuring a joyful, warm, safe, healthy, and economical Tet for all, fostering new momentum and motivation. The President also stressed the importance of supporting poor households, the elderly, and disadvantaged individuals to ensure that everyone in the province can enjoy Tet.

During the visit, the President and leaders of departments and sectors distributed gifts to policy families, families with meritorious services to the revolution, poor households, and workers in An Giang.

Earlier, President Luong Cuong offered incense and flowers at the Memorial Site of President Ton Duc Thang in My Hoa Hung commune, Long Xuyen city. He also visited several veteran revolutionary families in Long Xuyen.
