(VOVworld) - President Truong Tan Sang has arrived in Kazakhstan’s capital city of Astana to begin a state visit to the country at the invitation of his Kazakh counterpart, Nursultan Nazarbayev.

The visit aims to enhance the traditional friendly relationship and multi-faceted cooperation between the two countries especially in mining and oil exploitation. The event will kick off negotiation of a free trade agreement between Vietnam and the Customs Alliance of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan.
In anticipation of the two countries’ 20th anniversary of diplomatic ties, President Sang will attend the opening of Vietnamese Cultural Days in Kazakhstan.
