US media, citing informed sources, reported that the Trump administration is considering deploying US troops to Iran as the US military prepares for possible next steps in its military campaign against Iran.

As the conflict between United States-Israel and Iran entered its 21st day on Friday, Israeli media reported that by mid-afternoon, Iran had launched seven ballistic missile attacks toward Israel. Most of the missiles were intercepted by Israel’s air defense systems or fell in open areas. Initial reports indicated that several residents were injured and some civilian structures were damaged.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced that it had begun striking Iranian regime targets in Tehran early Saturday morning. The IDF also confirmed that Ali Mohammad Naini, spokesperson for Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), was killed in the Israeli airstrike.

On Friday afternoon, Iran’s Tasnim news agency reported that the United States and Israel struck 16 Iranian cargo vessels in port towns on the Gulf, saying the ships were burnt.

Israel’s military has said it struck Syrian army camps overnight in response to what it claimed were attacks against the Druze community in the south of the country.  Israel also affirmed its continuous protection of the Druze people.
