(VOVworld) - Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has urged the Vietnam War Veterans' Association to promote membership education in political and revolutionary fortitude. During his meeting with the association executives in Hanoi on Tuesday, Dung said veterans should promote their legacy as “Uncle Ho’s soldiers” and fight against wrongful views and work to counter the plots of hostile forces. He asked the association to strengthen democracy at the grassroots level and join local mediation groups to ensure political stability. This will help boost communications on party guidelines and state policy while contributing to national construction and defense. He urged relevant ministries to deliver a standard procedure for Agent Orange/dioxin victim verification and create jobs for veterans children.
