Public investment disbursement result should be measurement of officials’ performance: PM

(VOVWORLD) -Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on Tuesday recommended rewarding ministries, sectors and localities with high public investment disbursement rates, while strictly criticizing those with slow disbursement rates, adding that the results of public investment disbursement should be used as a criterion for evaluating officials.

Prime Minister Chinh on Tuesday chaired a hybrid national online conference on stimulating public investment growth momentum in 2025. He stressed the need to promote traditional growth drivers, including public investment, as new growth drivers like science and technology, innovation, digital transformation, circular economy, knowledge economy, and private economy are just beginning without tangible outcomes.
He requested continued proposals to try to fix institutional problems and especially to consider why private corporations and enterprises are disbursing investment and carrying out projects so quickly.
