(VOVWORLD) - Passengers can purchase train tickets via e-wallets like Google Pay, Samsung Pay, and Apple Pay starting Tuesday, the Vietnam Railways Corporation (VNR) said, adding that the update makes it easier for tourists to buy tickets online or through bank transfer, especially international tourists.

Previously, international tourists could not use foreign-issued bank cards for direct payments, and thus had to purchase train tickets through third-parties, rather than directly from VNR's website.
In addition, automatic ticket vending machines have been installed at popular tourist destinations such as Nha Trang Post Office, HCM City Post Office, Dalat Station, and the Tourist Support Centre in Hoi An City.
These machines feature large screens and user-friendly interfaces, and are available in both Vietnamese and English. Users can easily select ticket options, choose payment methods, and complete transactions as instructed.
