Russia ready to continue dialogue with US at commensurate level
(VOVWORLD) - Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Sunday that Russia appreciated the recent visit of a Russian State Duma delegation to the US and considered it an important step toward restoring bilateral dialogue, which has declined to its lowest point in years.
According to Peskov, although Russia-US relations are almost "stagnant in all areas," this contact, although cautious, is significant and could help restore bilateral relations.
He said Russia is ready to continue the dialogue at a level commensurate with the US's readiness, and said he will report the details of the dialogue so far to President Vladimir Putin.
