(VOVworld) – A seminar highlighting Vietnam’s past and present took place on Sunday in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

The event began with the screening of a documentary film on the Vietnam War and the consequences of agent orange/dioxin. Participants heard reports presented by the Vietnamese Embassy on Vietnam’s renewal process and its economic growth in 30 years of renewal, during which period the annual growth rate was 7%. The event’s highlight was a short movie called “Vietnam at present”, featuring Vietnam’s culture, land, and people. The event was co-organized by the Argentina - Vietnam Cultural Institute (ICAV) and the Vietnamese Embassy in Argentina to mark Vietnam’s 70th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19) and National Day (September 2).
